Jack is a friendly deaf dog who loves human company. While he isn't overly high energy he does enjoy a daily walk, or two if at all possible. Once he's had a long enough outing he will often flop down to let you know it's home time. Jack enjoys meeting new people, both adults and kids. He shares his foster home with a cat and is perfectly well behaved around him, so we believe with a gradual, controlled introduction he should be able to coexist with another cat in his permanent home.
Jack is good when meeting new dogs of any size on his walks, and enjoys playing with them. He does need to be the only dog in his home environment however as he grows jealous of other dogs over time when living with them. Jack's loving personality will be best showcased when he is your only doggy family member. He really revels in as much human company as he can get, so would be perfect as a companion in a home with active retirees, home workers or any home where someone is around lots.
Beautiful Jack is deaf, however during his stay in foster care he has mastered various commands with his carer, who can advise his new owners in the techniques she uses to assist in his training. Chipped as a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, he is well and truly mixed breed, but not a large dog. He has a habit of often having his tongue sneaking out, which gives him a quirky and sweet look.
In the evening, after his dinner, Jack enjoys the company of his people, laying on his bed watching TV with you. He is good around food, and isn't destructive.
All in all, Jack is the perfect dog for anyone wanting a best mate. Although he's good with children, they must be made aware that he is deaf and given due consideration for that.
