About Lunah
Are you looking for a beautiful natured dog whom for her age is a true pleasure to have around
Lunah is an amazing girl who
Lunah is approximately 11 months old Border Collie x Staffy with all the amazing staffy characteristics.
Lunah weighs in at 24 kilos so is pretty much full size so she's a perfect little med size girl
Lunahs favourite things:
Humans of course, she is a smoochy girl!
Lunah is people oriented, a confident girl who enjoys the company of all people whether you are a stranger or not.
Daily walks for a sniff around because everything is just so exciting to her.
Lunah is very partial to a treat but is very gentle in taking them but we can not forget one of lunahs favorites... the cow hoof and her kong toy with some peanut butter in it, keeps her entertained for hours! also a big fan of garlic bread as it turns out because one night she may have snuck a loaf off the kitchen table when foster mum wasn't looking hence the name Lunah Loaf, lucky she is a cutie patootie
Cooling off and splashing in her pool, playing with water from the hose
Lunah is a young excitable girl who is very affectionate and loving
if you love a snuggle on the couch she is your girl, she adores being close to her favorite human getting belly rubs
She can be a little jumpy so still needs a little training in this department, working on sit for pats
She is treat orientated so this helps immensely with her training
We hope her new family will be committed to continue her training as she is a girl with great potential.
Lunah does come with a training plan formulated by a professional trainer to assist her family in helping get the best out of this beauty
For a young pup Lunah is really well trained and behaved, she sits, shakes, drops, waits for her dinner until told 'yours',
She sits at the road if told to.
She has reasonable recall at an enclosed park but can get distracted by other four legged friends
Lunah can be a little mouthy but only when saying hello, a "no" and ignoring her whilst doing this really seems to do the trick.
Lunah being young has not shown many destructive traits but we always recommend inside supervision and putting valuables away
Lunah is not an annoying barker , she does have a little whine and sook though if she thinks mum has left her but she settles not long after.
Lunah spends her day outside while her mum works and has had no issues
She is in a fairly small yard and had coped well but we do hope to rehome her with a bit more space
Lunah has lived with other dogs and enjoys the company of other dogs
She does show some resource guarding around food so will need supervision around treats and food bowls, she doesn't like others to come to get what's hers Other than that she loves a play, game of chase, tug o war. Being a young pup she is still developing her social play skills and can be nippy at times if dogs are chasing ball ect We think she would do better as an only dog but if another dog in residence we seek a well socialized male and they must be fed separately and supervised with toys
Lunah eats dry high quality puppy dry food at the moment, a few scoops in the morning and a few at night.
She loves a treat, takes them gently and politely, she waits for her dinner until told its hers.
She is a curious girl when you're cooking and preparing dinner, hence the garlic bread going missing but all in all she is very good around food and patient and gentle
Lunah sleeps on her own in the lounge room either on her bed or on the couch, she puts herself to bed around 8:30 and knows when it's lights out time
She has also tolerated sleeping in a crate as well so is flexible, she may do a little whimper but settlers well all night
She wakes up with foster mum at 7:30 and has her breakfast and then is left in the back hallway with access to the backyard on her own.
Lunah has a beautiful soft coat that is short in nature, She loves a regular brush
Lunah is completely toilet trained
She does love water to play in especially her shell pool but is not a fan of a bath but she doesn't require regular bathing
Lunah knows how to use a doggy door
Lunah goes for one walk a day roughly 40 minutes, or she goes to her doggo friend's house and has a good run around/ play.
Lunah is very easy to walk on the lead, really doesnt pull and very chilled unless she sees a bird that she wants to say hello / chase lol!
She gets super excited for her walks but doesn't go stir crazy if you are a but late on taking her for one
