About Rusty

Breed: Domestic Medium Hair

Location: PETstock Modbury
Introducing Rusty, a beautiful rescue who is re-learning what a life well-lived is. Rusty is a resilient little lady who has recently re-familiarised herself with the comfortable life indoors. She came into care via caring vet team after a member of the public found her with an infected cat fight wound on her head, scooped her up, and got her the help she needed. Her original owner was found, and she was surrendered into the veterinary care. She'd been fending for herself outside for months - years even - being picked on by other cats, and hunting for food. This beautiful girl didn't know if she could trust humans again.
But oh! How she has flourished now that she's rediscovered the creature comforts of being a pampered indoor kitty!
Rusty has gotten quite comfortable with indulging in all that an indoor life brings—soft beds, regular meals, a clean litter box, and the feeling of being safe, warm, and loved.
Though Rusty is a bit shy and reserved at first, she has a very quick turnaround and soon morphs into a real purring love bug who adores pats and cuddles and being held like a baby. She thrives when she's the only cat around to soak up all your love and attention. And speaking of pats and cuddles, Rusty has identified her favourite spots for some gentle caressing. Ears, chin, shoulders, and a delightful butt scratch—those are the places to focus. She's also starting to appreciate a good brushing session.
When Rusty's over the moon, you might catch sight of her paddling and suckling on fluffy toys and blankets just like a young kitten. Rusty is a true connoisseur of food and a chatterbox when she wants to express herself. Recently, she has begun to discover the joys of playtime, as well as the occasional zoomies. Her all-time favourite toy is the “Da Bird" feather wand!
Rusty also knows when it's time for some solitude and usually finds a quiet spot under the bed when she seeks some downtime.
If you're looking for a companion who will make your house feel like a home, Rusty might just be the one for you. This beautiful is ready to find her forever people who will appreciate her endearing quirks and provide her with all the love and comfort she deserves.
People describe me as: Survivor, fluffy, deserving of all the good things
How am I with dogs? I don't think I'll like dogs.
How am I with cats? I Do Not Like Other Cats. (Except my foster brother Raja. He was allowed to sleep on the bed with me.)
How am I with kids? I haven't met any kids, and might be okay with older kids who respect my boundaries, but not young kiddos - I'll swipe them.
My purrfect home is: Patient, loving, respectful of the trauma I've been through and will love me for who I am, and never abandon me.
Rusty's adoption fee is $50 which includes desexing, microchipping, parasite prevention, and F3 vaccination.
