About Bear - 2 Year Old Labradoodle (Hold)
Hi I'm Bear! That's right, but I'm not really a bear, I'm a charming 2 year old Labradoodle and today is your lucky day, as I'm looking for my forever family!
Before coming into care I was a bit of a free spirit, but since spending some time with my foster family, I've been working on my training and have learnt heaps over a short period of time. So now I know how to sit, stay, shake, use the doggy door and how to bring back balls when we play fetch, so yeah, I'm a fast learner. I love walks - in the morning and afternoon if I can. I'm happy whether I'm going for a jog, playing fetch or a leisurely stroll around the park with you. And of course don't forget a roll around in the freshly cut grass, it's a must, I just love to be out and exploring!
When I'm not out and about I love to be inside near my family, whether it's standing next to you when you cook dinner, eagerly waiting to help clean up those crumbs, watching TV with the family or simply laying down next to you at the end of the day for a pre bedtime snooze.
I'm used to being around and living with other dogs, I've done so most of my life so I'd be happy to have another partner in crime; a playful dog around my size would be ideal. I can be a bit protective of my food so I might need to be fed separately, and hopefully they can help me work on this. I have never lived with a cat so not sure what they are like. However, I can also be an only dog as long as you have time and attention for me.
Now you know a bit more about what I like, so here's some things I don't like. Thunderstorms; they are loud and really make me scared and I just want to hide, in fact I don't really like any loud noises. Also, I don't like grooming shops, a brush is ok, but the clippers are not fun at all, however as my fur does get woolly I still need to have it trimmed every now and then.
My ideal family needs to be active like me, I love playing zoomies so you need to also. I need to have someone home with me most of the time. I am great with kids and they love my golden fur and floppy ears, it provides many hours of entertainment and I like the attention also. As I am still young, I don't want to be left alone at home for long periods, and I would like my family to able to stimulate and challenge me.
The other stuff you need to know: I'm desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped; I'm a smaller size Labradoodle about 12kg and my adoption fee is $700.
My foster carer is in Newcastle, NSW and is available for adoption in NSW.
