About Onyx
Sweet Onyx was dumped with his litter-mates on the side of a road and picked up by a kind passer-by. He was full of fleas and worms and it appears that he's been rubbing at his head as he has little bald patches, but is doing really well now he's in care and the fleas and worms have gone! Naturally Onyx is a little timid as he finds himself in a totally new environment but once he warms up to you he's a sweetheart. He's being introduced to playing with rope toys and plush toys, and getting to know his foster family and receiving lots of love and fuss. We know happiness awaits beautiful Onyx and whoever adopts him!
This beautiful boy is mixed breed, he looks to be some Kelpie and also a smidge of Lab in there too. He should be medium sized when fully grown: we don't believe will be a large dog. He will likely be an active dog who will need daily exercise and playtimes to keep him happy mentally and physically. This adorable guy will love having lots and lots of time spent with his new family to make up for his rather sad past, so a home where someone is home a lot will be the best possible outcome for him.
We always recommend formal training for new pups so that they can learn good manners, how to get along (socialise) with other dogs and new people, and have fun with their owner while they learn, in a positive and fun setting.
Onyx gets along well with his foster carer's dog and children, hasn't met cats or other animals but should be pretty trainable.
If you can offer this really nice boy a loving, kind and active home, please complete our SAFE Bunbury application form as follows:
