About Pixel - Located in Melton South
Hey there, I'm Pixel, your friendly neighborhood shy kitty! Let me tell you, I might take a little time to warm up, but once I do, I'm all about those gentle pats and cuddles. Just call me a cuddle connoisseur, if you will.
Now, let's address the elephant in the room: I can be a bit easily startled. I mean, who wouldn't be with all the craziness going on in the world? So, I'm gonna need a family that's cool with giving me lots of love and patience. Like, lots and lots. Did I mention lots?
But hey, it's not all nerves and jitters with me! I absolutely love to play with toys and romp around with my siblings. There's nothing like a good game of chase or a feathery toy to bring out my playful side. And speaking of siblings, I've got to admit, having another feline friend around would be pretty awesome. I mean, who else is gonna understand my need for a good hiding spot during thunderstorms?
So, if you're looking for a shy but secretly hilarious companion who's just waiting to bloom with the right amount of love and patience, then look no further. I'm Pixel, and I'm ready to add a splash of quirky charm to your life. Let's make some memories together, shall we? But first, could you turn down the volume on that vacuum cleaner? It's kinda freaking me out.

Medical notes
WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
