About Penguin - Located in Melton South
I go by the name Penguin, and let me tell you I'm definitely not one to blend into the background. With my stunning coat adorned with unique patterns and silky fur, I'm a sight to behold! Like many humans, I might take a little time to warm up. But don't worry, once I know you're a friend, I'll be sure to let you know! You'll find me gently rubbing up against your legs, eagerly awaiting some tasty treats and gentle pats. Oh, how I adore those little moments of affection!
But here's the thing: while I may be a bit reserved around humans, I absolutely thrive in the company of other cats. There's something about their presence that brings me out of my shell, and I just can't get enough of their attention and companionship. So, if you happen to have a feline friend or two, I'm sure we'll get along just swimmingly!
So, if you're looking for a shy but oh-so-sweet girl with a stunning appearance and a heart of gold, then look no further. I'm here, ready to steal your heart with my unique charm and gentle nature. Let's make some memories together, shall we?

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
