One day my foster carer found me up a tree

Unsure of where I belonged or where my next meal would be

I’d never touched a human or received a hug

And cuddles from my brother was the only form of love

Suddenly I found myself inside a little house

My world turned upside down and I remained as quiet as a mouse

But foster carer showed me what love can truly be

And now I’m on my way to being the best boy I can be

I’m learning how to trust and show the world my best side

My cuddly little personality I no longer want to hide

I’d love to have a place that I can call my own

And join a family that is looking for more love in their home

As I say goodbye to the rough life on the street

I know my forever human is out there, which I cannot wait to meet

As each day goes by, I’m coming more out of my shell

And I crave the kind of safety that comes with wearing a collar and a bell
