About Betsy - 1 Year Old Cavoodle (Trial)
Hello there! I'm Betsy, a delightful 1-year-old Cavoodle tipping the scales at 6kg. I'm on a quest to find my forever home, filled with love and warmth
Whilst my start to life hasn't been an easy one, I'm slowly and surely blossoming into a curious and loving companion with a taste for adventure.
When I'm not snuggled up next to my foster fur brother or making myself at home on the couch, I enjoy chewing on a tasty treat in the comfort of my dog bed, or frolicking with some beloved soft toys. I'm an expert at using the doggy door and am fully toilet trained. I'm still in the process of mastering basic commands.
Although new experiences can be overwhelming, I'm gradually discovering the joys of daily walks, car trips, sniffing new scents, and meeting furry friends. While I still find bustling coffee shops, crowds, and new people a bit much, I'm learning to take it all in stride with some reassurance, and will continue to adapt well with ongoing training, socialisation, time, and patience.
I'm dog-friendly and dream of having a confident canine companion (up to 12kg) to show me the ropes. I currently reside with a labradoodle, cherishing his companionship and cuddles. He serves as a source of confidence for me, and I observe and emulate his behaviour. While I haven't met any cats or pocket pets yet, I'm open to the idea – as long as they're willing to give me a chance.
I recently had a vet check and received a clean bill of health. Although one of my eyes is slightly smaller than the other, it adds to my unique character. Both at the vet and the groomer, I exhibited impeccable behaviour, leaving such a positive impression that they eagerly anticipate my return visits. As an oodle, I will require ongoing grooming to maintain my beauty.
There is no issue leaving me by myself if I have a furry friend to keep my company. Although, I'd still prefer a human who is possibly retired, or works from home at least a few days per week. I thrive as an indoor dog, and will need access indoors/outdoors, even when the humans are out. At night, I find comfort in sleeping next to my humans, gently touching for reassurance. However, I'm just as content settling into a big, cozy dog bed if my humans and fur friends are nearby in the same room.
I'm easily spooked by loud noises and sudden movements, so a calm environment without young children or lots of visitors would be best. In my ideal home, patience and understanding are key. It'll take some time and effort from your side to truly connect with me, but trust me, it'll be worth it.
Betsy's adoption fee is $1000. She has been desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas, ticks and worms, and is microchipped. She is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW.
