Introducing the beautiful senior lady “JJ” who is now seeking her forever family . This sweet little lady is a Chihuahua x Terrier blend who will make a wonderful little companion for someone who needs a little friend around the home
If you are looking for something sweet, gentle . well mannered and no trouble companion to share your life and couch then JJ is exactly who you are looking for.
JJ is a little homebody lady who prefers to be safe and sound in her home rather than out and about in the big wide world
She loves to have her ears scratched and loves to give you kisses all over including your toes and legs lol

JJ is just over 12 years of age and sadly her human went into palliative care and could no longer care for little JJ. JJ herself was very loved but maybe a little too loved as she had been fed a diet of mainly “Teddy Bear Biscuits” and this has obviously ended up on her waistline . JJ is still on the obese side but we have moved her to a good quality food and she is getting out and about around the yard which is assisting her greatly .

She is a friendly little girl who smiles and wags her little tail at everyone she meets.
JJ is not a huge fan of going out for a walk so little trips around the garden are best and a walk to the street corner is best for her while her confidence grows of the outside world and she continues on her weight loss journey
She is just a wee little thing but still overweight by around 3ish kilos so still has a way to go as she is currently just under 9 kilos

JJ doesn't demand anything from you , she's such a sweetheart and doesn't bark or cry for any reason. JJ is happy to potter around the house following you around or sitting quietly in her bed or at your feet while you watch TV or read a book
She travels well in the car going to the vet for her health checks

JJ has a cozy bed which she uses outside and another one inside. She currently either sleeps outside under cover or the garage however with the colder weather on the way will need to sleep inside and would appreciate a doggy door. She is toilet trained and has not had an accident inside.

She has lovely manners and even waits for her human to go first out a door. She is also very smart and always knows when it's 5 pm (her dinner time).

JJ would suit a quiet home with someone at home with her the majority of the time and will make a perfect gentle companion.

JJ has had blood tests run and the results show all within expected range for her age and weight issues
She does have some plaque on her back teeth but now eating premium dry food and dental sticks this should clear this up

Ideal Home/ Adoption Criteria
JJ doesn't need a large yard but she does need a nice area to spend in the sun and walk around the garden
JJ would love a quite home with no children as she loves a quite and calm environment
We feel she would be best suited as an only dog so she can be the center of her new humans attention and love
A home that will continue to help her lose weight
A home that will allow her to be an inside girl with outside access
