About Barkley
Barkley's Tale: A Pup's Journey
Hey there, pals! I'm Barkley, the adventurous 4-month-old pup with a mix of Jack Russell Terrier and "big dog" in my genes. I may be young, but I've got big dreams of growing into a beautiful and well-trained dog, with a little help from my human friends, of course!
I'm all about fun and games, especially when it comes to kids. They bring out the best in me, and I love nothing more than playtime with my tiny human buddies. If your family has energetic kiddos, I think we'd make a great team!
But wait, there's more! I'm a social butterfly, and I absolutely adore hanging out with other dogs. Having a furry friend by my side makes every day an adventure. In fact, I'd be over the moon to join a family with another dog-I'm sure we'd have a blast together!
Now, about those feline friends-they're cool too! With a proper introduction and a cat who's savvy with dogs like me, I'm confident we can be the best of buds in no time.
As I wag my tail and sniff around my world, I know there's so much to learn and explore. Training sessions? Bring 'em on! I'm ready to soak up all the knowledge and become the best pup I can be.
So, if you're looking for a playful and loving companion to join your pack, look no further! Let's start our pawsome journey together!

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
