About Frankie
Frankie needs a new family!
He’s a dear, sweet Poodle boy weighing 4.5 kg. who came to us through the family of a lady who has gone into care. He turned 3 at the end of January.
Frankie’s a delight and so easy to get along with in every way so far. Some of his attributes at a glance are;
Super cuddly, affectionate, friendly and gentle towards people. His previous owner had grandchildren ranging from 7 years and upwards,
Friendly and playful towards dogs both big and small,
Cat friendly,
Easy to walk on leash, walks by my side or slightly behind with no pulling,
A good chappie to bath and groom,
Fabulous in the car,
Suited to apartment living - a quiet boy.
Non shedding coat.
Nice manners, sits when asked.
Frankie had been living as an outside dog, but he deserves to be inside with his human family, sharing the couch and maybe a lap, enjoying the air con or heating as the case may be.
He loves to be close by wherever I am, catching a nap if there’s not much going on.
His toilet training is ongoing, he’s wearing a belly band indoors to catch any random peeing but frequent trips outside keep these to a minimum.
Until his housetraining is reliable, he’ll continue to sleep in his crate beside my bed at night.
Medical notes
Will be desexed before going to his new home.
Adoption details
Please express your interest by sending an email through PetRescue only if you are ready to adopt a dog NOW, not weeks or months into the future. We are unable to hold a dog for you because this ties up a spot and prevents us from helping another dog in need.
Please also have discussions with anyone else involved in the decision making process, BEFORE applying to ensure they are onboard.
Tell us about the home and lifestyle you can offer Frankie.
We are interested in your family situation (who is in your family) their work/study hours, how long the dog would be left alone during a typical week.
What you can offer Frankie in terms of activities and outings.
If you have other pets - in most cases we look favourably on a home with an existing dog or the possibility of adding another dog at a later stage (the exception would be if the dog being rehomed is not so good with other dogs).
Please also let us know where the dog will sleep and if it will be welcomed inside.
