About Gracie
Hello there! My name is Gracie, and I'm a 6-year-old bundle of joy who happens to be a mix of a Blue Heeler and a Beagle. Let me tell you a bit about myself because, well, who knows me better than me, right?
First things first, I absolutely adore other doggos! Yep, that's right-I'm awesome with them, and I'd fit right into a home that already has another furry friend. I'm all about those playful moments and sharing the love with my fellow pups.
Oh, and let's talk about cats. I've lived with two of those mysterious creatures before, and guess what? We got along just fine! But here's the thing: they need to be dog-savvy, and we need to do the whole intro dance properly. No worries, though, I'm a pro at making new friends, even if they do have whiskers and a tail.
Now, let's chat about mini-humans. Kids over 5 years old? Bring 'em on! I'm cool with them, and they seem to think I'm pretty awesome too. We can play fetch, go for walks, or just hang out and enjoy each other's company.
One thing you'll notice about me is that I'm a well-mannered pup. Yep, that's right-I've got some basic training under my belt, and I know how to behave like a proper lady. Toilet training? Piece of cake! I've got that down too.
But here's the real scoop-I love being around my people. Seriously, there's nothing better than snuggling up with my humans after a long day of play. I'm super keen on bonding and making memories with my family.
So, if you're looking for a furry companion who's friendly, well-behaved, and just an all-around awesome dog, then look no further because I'm right here waiting to be your best friend. Let's make some pawsitive memories together!
To book a meet and greet with Gracie please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
