Hey there, folks! I'm Roux, your friendly neighborhood ball of energy! If you're looking for a furry friend who's as clumsy as they come but overflowing with love and affection, then look no further, because that's me in a nutshell.
I may not always have the best grasp on personal space (sorry, not sorry), but hey, who needs personal space when you've got a whole bunch of love to give, am I right? I'll be all up in your business, your lap, your bed – you name it, I'm there! And oh, your food? Yeah, that looks pretty tasty too, so don't mind me if I help myself every now and then.
When it comes to playtime, I'm your go-to guy! Toys? Bring 'em on! Another furry friend to romp around with? Count me in! I'll play until the cows come home, or until I've knocked over every breakable thing in sight – whichever comes first. And if you think you can escape my attention, think again! I'll chase you down and demand cuddles until you give in and scratch behind my ears.
Now, I must confess, I'm not the most graceful of creatures. Sometimes I forget just how strong I am and might accidentally knock things over or give you a little scratch when I get too excited. But hey, it's all in good fun, right? Just consider it a small price to pay for all the love and entertainment I bring into your life.
Oh, and about those occasional stomach upsets? Yeah, let's just say my belly has a mind of its own sometimes. But don't worry, a little tummy trouble won't slow me down! I'll be back on my feet (or should I say paws?) in no time, ready to continue spreading joy and hilarity wherever I go.

Medical notes
Roux has had some gastric upsets in the form of soft stools and occasionally vomiting due to picking up Feline Corona virus when he was younger (not contagious to humans or other species). This virus just needs to run its course, and most symptoms have already resolved, but he might be more prone to dietary changes causing him vomiting or diarrhoea.
WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
