About Hooch
Hooch requires the following in his new home:
- Another playful desexed adult dog of similar size not a puppy or senior.
- A backyard to play in.
- To be allowed inside when his humans are home, so he can be apart of the family.
- Continued training to help with toilet training and manners.
- No younger children.
- A family that understands that although he is small and loves cuddles on the couch he still is energetic, playful and loves to explore.
Hooch is only small he weighing about 2kg.
Hooch's favourite thing to do is run around in the backyard and have a wrestle with his brother. He is a typical puppy; he will play then crash out and have a nap. Hooch love his people and will jump all over them to greet them. Hooch is a confident little guy, and have shown no fear when around other dogs.
Hooch travels well in the car in his crate, and is friendly and confident with the vet clinic staff. Hooch loves playing with kids but due to his small size would be better with older children.
Toilet training is still in progress but as he grows and matures this will improve with positive rewards and with regular visits outside. He is a smart little pup and will already come to his name and almost has the hang of leave it. Hooch loves to be part of the family activities and to be able to spend time inside when his humans are home and to be able to sleep inside of a night. He is used to sleeping in a crate but would be more than happy to share his human’s bed.
Although small Hooch thinks he is a large dog and loves a good size backyard to play in, he is active and enjoys exploring, he will not suit apartment living. Hooch would love to be included in family outing and adventures.
The breed is to the best of our knowledge from the information we've been given.

Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis, we assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animal.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home please send us a detailed email us with some information about the people and any other animals in your home as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet.
We are volunteerswho run the rescue around families, paid employment and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require you to travel to meet the animal you are looking to adopt. For dog adoptions, any other dogs in your home musr attend the meet and greet, this enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
We reserve the right to refuse the adoption if we don't believe it's a good match for our animals.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care or we will assist you in finding them a suitable new home, this is a condition thst you agree to when signing our Adoption Agreement.
