About Ranger
Say hello to Ranger! This one-year-old Belgian Malinois is an affectionate and intelligent companion who possesses many admirable qualities. Ranger's keen responsiveness to commands and calm demeanor in the face of less peaceful dogs reflect his sensible but gentle nature.
Not to be mistaken for just a pretty face, Ranger is quite the gentleman when it comes to leash manners. He loves walks and is incredibly good on a lead, allowing you to enjoy brisk walks or relaxed strolls through the park without any hassle. His dedication to being an agreeable walking partner truly highlights his patient and cooperative nature.
Although Ranger gets along well with his fellow dogs, his position on cats or small pocket pets remains untested. He is a big boy with a big heart. For this reason, we believe Ranger wouldn't best suit a home with young children as his size and energy may be a little overwhelming. However, Ranger absolutely thrives in the company of teenagers and adults who can match his energy levels and appreciate his spirited nature.
Ranger's calmness when faced with dogs that are barking at him demonstrates his admirable self-discipline and compatibility with other dogs, making him a dream to bring to dog parks or near other dogs. His consistent temperament is just another testament to his fantastic character.
Overall, Ranger is a beautiful and obedient dog looking for a new family who can provide him with the love and care he deserves. He holds immense potential, and under your guidance, he could truly shine. If you are an active individual or a family with older children, and you're seeking a loyal, intelligent, and calm dog, Ranger may just be your perfect match.
Ranger hasn't been tested with cats or pocket pets, but due to his breed we don't recommend a home with either.
If you understand the nature of a Belgian Malinois or a German Shepherd, have recently owned either breed, and are looking for a companion dog then please consider Ranger, He will provide lots of love and companionship in abundance when he connects and builds that trust with his new owner.
If you live in Queensland or Victoria, you can be considered for adoption; however, you must be able to drive with your family to meet Ranger. If for any reason he doesn't fit your family you will be responsible for bringing him back to Sydney or helping us rehome him from your home.
Medical notes
Ranger is microchipped, wormed, vaccinated and desexed.

Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
