About Kitkat
Meow! I'm Kit Kat, a one-year-old Black Tortoiseshell cat with a purr-fectly delightful story to share about my favorite treat in the world: Kit Kat bars! Just like how I love to explore every nook and cranny of my home, Kit Kat bars have been exploring taste buds worldwide since way back in 1935.
I may be a small kitty, but I get along famously with other cats, just like how the crispy wafers and smooth chocolate in Kit Kat bars complement each other so well. And speaking of meeting new friends, I'm happy to live with kids as long as they come in to meet me first. After all, we cats like to make sure we're comfortable with our companions!
Oh, and let me tell you about my love for food. It's no secret that I adore mealtime, just like how people around the world adore breaking off a piece of a Kit Kat bar for a sweet snack. Nestlé really hit the jackpot with this tasty treat!
As I continue to explore my surroundings and enjoy my meals, I can't help but draw parallels between my playful adventures and the joy that Kit Kat bars bring to everyone who enjoys them. So next time you see that familiar red and white wrapper, think of me, Kit Kat the cat, and remember to take a break and savor the moment, just like you would with a delicious Kit Kat bar! Purrs and chocolatey dreams to all!
To book a meet and greet with KitKat please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
