Mara

This little beauty is the third little long-haired mini-Dachy to look for her forever home, after her owners went into care.
Hopefully you can see in the pics, she is a gorgeous chocolate colour (she could do with a tidy-up groom when she is settled.)
Now when the vets were shaving her for desexing, she was found to have an abscess on her leg from an ingrown hair, that wasn’t attended to in her previous home. So while under anaesthetic, all the pus was drained and the wound sutured. Her uterus was in very poor condition, infected and with pieces of retained placenta - poor little Mara would have been feeling very unwell.
Anyway, she came home with a course of antibiotics and the dreaded cone and has recovered beautifully.
Mara is a quiet and gentle girl, who is happy pottering about at home here. She loves her cuddles with me and enjoys being around the other dogs here.
She is toilet trained, great in the car and sleeps all night in her doggie bed in the lounge.
