About Niall
Hey there, I'm Niall,
First off, I'll admit I'm a little nervous, especially when it comes to new environments. It might take me some time to adjust to my new home, but with a patient and understanding family, I know I'll settle in just fine.
I'm a social dog at heart, but I tend to be calm and quiet, especially in new situations. Once I get to know you, I'll warm up and show you just how sweet and loving I can be. I'd actually really like to have another dog friend in the house, preferably a calm and relaxed male companion. It helps me feel more at ease.
When we first meet, don't be surprised if I seem a bit hesitant. That's just me being cautious. But given some time and gentle introduction, I'm sure we'll become the best of friends. Meeting me at the adoption center is a must so we can start building that bond.
I'd do best in a home with older family members who understand my need for a little extra patience and space. A safe space where I can take a breather if I'm feeling overwhelmed would be great too. Crate training could really help me feel secure in my new environment.
Now, let's talk about one of my favorite things - food! I'm super food-motivated, which means positive reinforcement training will work wonders for me. Enrichment toys like Kongs and food mazes will keep me entertained and mentally stimulated.
A big yard with secure fencing is a must for me. I love to explore and stretch my legs, so daily exercise is important. I'll be happiest when I can be a part of the family both indoors and outdoors.
I'm a really clean boy - I don't chew up toys or blankets. But speaking of toys, I'm still learning how to play with them. A patient family willing to teach me would be awesome!
