About Rocky rsuk002413
Meet Rocky, our handsome gentleman cat with a beautiful persona. He's friendly but not overly demanding, always simply content to know where his favourite people are. Scoring high on the self-reliant scale, this independent feline likes his own space, but that doesn't mean he's an introvert. On the contrary, he is extremely energetic and is always up for a game.
Rocky isn't the biggest fan of being picked up or smothered with love, but he will come to you when he wants some petting, or just to be near you. He's a lover of fellow felines and would certainly adore the company of another cat.
His white ears and adorable pink nose make him susceptible to sun damage, ideally he should be indoor only. However, he would love a home where he has access to a well-shaded outdoor area. He's an avid bird watcher and loves lounging in cool places, so an enclosed porch or catio would be the icing on the cake for him.
In short, Rocky is the perfect balance of independent and affectionate. This charming chap would love to join your family and, in return, will give you the most loyal and loving companion. His radiant personality and loveable quirks are sure to light up your home.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
