About Banksy
Big. Beautiful. Boofhead... Banksy!
This gorgeous two and a half year old boy is here to challenge the “couch potato” stereotype. Taking the lead from his kelpie foster sister, he’s an energetic hound who loves a bit of active play, and is always up for an adventure, he even swims!
An active home would be just the ticket for Banksy, but the cherry on top would be an equally playful canine playmate.
Banksy has settled into foster care very well; his carers describe him as a kind natured dog with so much potential. He is eager to please and food motivated, making him a great learning partner. He might even enjoy group training classes like agility to burn off some of those beans.
Moonlighting as a shadow, this space invader loves a snuggle, and will keep a watchful eye on whatever activities you are engaged in. Chief Bathroom Supervisor, Assistant to Laundry Services, and Snacks and Naps Quality Control Officer are just a few of the esteemed positions within Banksy’s resume. While he does love to be with his people, he is happy with company of his foster siblings while his humans are out to the house. With his outgoing and social nature, he would also make an excellent candidate for visits to doggy daycare where he can make new friends and get out all his zoomies.
Banksy is the perfect buddy, he plays big and snoozes deeply, so whether it’s a weekend hike or a movie marathon he’ll be happiest so long as he is by your side.

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, some can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour.
As a result we look to rehome dogs into households where they are not left on their own for more than 4 hours per day on a regular basis, without either people or another dog for company. We are happy discuss strategies such as a dog walker or doggy day care. Going to work with you is also a great option

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
