About Maggie
Maggie is a compact little Cattle X girl who is gorgeous and affectionate with plenty of personality. Maggie is
surprisingly small but stocky, and adamant that she is a lap dog. Maggie is best suited to a home
where she can take the spotlight. Maggie does love to play and chase with other dogs when she’s out & about.
Although Maggie loves children and small animals, she is best in a house without them as she
has a tendency to jump up, guard, mouth or herd/chase.
Maggie can be a little uncertain
of tall men/strangers at first. But with a little time, sniffs and belly
scratches she will warm up to anyone! She would prefer having her humans around more
often than not, but is ok being home alone with enrichment activities, frozen kongs and/or
bones to keep her busy.
Due to her cheeky cattle dog nature, Maggie might sometimes need firm direction. She is,
however, VERY trainable, clever and especially eager to please! Maggie already knows a
number of commands like come, sit, lie down, place, stay, middle, out/down, speak, go find
and shake. She will also politely “wait” for her dinner - which is a big deal because she LOVES food. Maggie walks well on leash and has been trustworthy off leash, but would benefit from further training as she has SO MUCH potential.
Maggie is a high energy dog who needs daily excerise (walks/runs/hikes)so would suit an active owner who wants a running Buddy. Maggie also enjoys play time & a game of tug.
When Maggie is happy she dances on the spot & does spins & sings to you to show her delight. At the end of the day Maggie makes an excellent couch potato who
adores cuddling with & on her humans. Her favourite weekend activity is a walk to a pub or
cafe, where she will plonk down and happily keep you company.
Adoption details
If you are interested in meeting one of our animals we would love to hear from you.
