About Elton
Much like his namesake, Elton is a snazzy little mini poodle who LOVES the limelight! He adores everyone, is very outgoing, social and is just a lovely sweet character who enjoys following you everywhere as much as having a cuddle.
Even though he has a bit of filling out to do, Elton is a petite fellow (would be lucky to tip the scales at 5kg fully matured) and suits the inside life. Of course he loves the outdoors too, but his yard needs to be dog-proofed (no gaps) or else he could easily escape. He LOVES dog friends, but the size & temperament of your existing dog needs consideration as Elton is comparatively snack-sized to many large breeds.
Elton has a lovely black non-shedding/hypoallergenic curly coat and would need grooming in the warmer months to keep him comfortable. He is in a crate at night with no issues, happily toileting in the morning outside after being let out. He would need some more toilet training to be inside full-time, but he's well on the way and is showing all the right signs.
Though small, Elton is actually a fab size to be an active family member- super light, easy to take anywhere, no anti-social behaviours to stress about and just generally hassle free. He won't need a strict or laborious exercise regime either.. out and about with you and following his people around the house or in the garden will be plenty.
Elton wouldn't take issue with cats, chooks, birds or other pocket pets given his small size and age- he'll quickly learn your routines and expectations. He is fantastic with kids of all ages.
>> Please note: Elton will be available for pick up shortly after Easter due to desexing. He is currently with a foster carer in Orange NSW. Please call Lindy on 0400223200 if you have any queries about Elton and his suitability for your family.
If you can offer Elton a kind and loving home please send an enquiry through via PetRescue telling us a bit about yourself, your home and your lifestyle.
Medical notes
Elton and his brother Buzz are quite well bred, however both boys have an undescended testicle . This has absolutely NO affect on their health or ability to be wonderful pets, but does make them undesirable for breeding purposes and is the reason they found themselves with us. They will be desexed just after Easter.

Please express your interest by sending an email through PetRescue.
Tell us about the home and lifestyle you can offer a dog.
We are interested in your family situation (who is in your family) their work/study hours, how long the dog would be left alone during a typical week.
What you can offer a dog in terms of activities, outings and training.
If you have other pets - in most cases we look favourably on a home with an existing dog or the possibility of adding another dog at a later stage (the exception would be if the dog being rehomed is not so good with other dogs).
Please also let us know where the dog will sleep and if it will be welcomed inside.
