About Basil
Basil new home would be best to have:
- An outdoor cat enclosure.
- Must have another playful cat/kitten (He would love to be adopted with one of his siblings).
- Room inside for plays.
- a verity of toys and scratching poles.
Basil has the sweetest and friendliest personality. When he feels comfortable, he becomes a purring machine. It can take a little while for Basil to feel comfortable and it's best to be patient and give him time and space. You will soon be rewarded with Basil sitting on your laps for hours. He also loves to wrestle with his siblings and occupy his time with toys and games, and thinks it’s the best when someone is willing to play with him. Basil can live with a cat friendly dog and needs to be an inside only lifestyle but would love a cat outdoor enclosure. He would be best with older children or a kid free home.
Basil would love to be adopted with one of his siblings, if he is their combined adoption fee is $500. Their link can be found below.

*All cats and kittens adopted through Pyrenees Animal Rescue are only available to homes where they will be kept indoors or in a secure cat run/enclosure. A yard with fencing is not enough to keep an adventurous cat contained, safe from dogs and traffic. *
*PLEASE read the ‘profile’ thoroughly before enquiring in detail.*
*Please only apply if you are ready to meet and adopt this pet now, and if all family members are in support of the adoption.*
Adoption details
Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis, we assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animal.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home please send us a detailed email us with some information about the people and any other animals in your home as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet.
We are volunteerswho run the rescue around families, paid employment and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require you to travel to meet the animal you are looking to adopt. For dog adoptions, any other dogs in your home musr attend the meet and greet, this enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
We reserve the right to refuse the adoption if we don't believe it's a good match for our animals.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care or we will assist you in finding them a suitable new home, this is a condition thst you agree to when signing our Adoption Agreement.
