Mossi (named after 90’s supermodel Kate Moss) is the sweetest little dog. She had a rough start to life but is learning to trust again and once you have her trust she will be your biggest fan and follow you round all day smiling enthusiastically.
She gets along great with other dogs, loves to play and enjoys a bit of rough and tumble with her foster brother (who she adores) on the trampoline.
Mossi hasn’t been out walking on a lead as of yet (except for being walked in and out of the vet) due to her condition being so poor when she arrived in foster care that she couldn’t initially be vaccinated and vet worked.
Mossi has been friendly with both male and female dogs and would really love another dog for company but may be alright without one if she finds a person or family who are home most of the time.
Mossi needs secure fencing, she’s more of an opportunist than an escape artist, if she finds a hole she might squeeze through it but has shown no interest in jumping over.
Mossi has done a few cheeky things when on her own; she’s chewed the ends off a few charger cables and bit one little piece off a sneaker, she’s also dug a few little holes in my backyard and if your bin isn’t secure she may have an optimistic poke round. Having said that I do not run a tight ship so given the plentiful opportunities she’s actually been really good and when caught in the act a simple “ah” is all it takes to correct her and given that she’s only young I’m sure this mild destructive behaviour is something she will grow out of.
It’s worth mentioning that she’s had almost no training as my main focus has been on her learning to be comfortable in the house and trust people so there’s endless potential for improvement once training commences.
Mossi is a very smiley little dog who loves her teenage, human, foster siblings. She did meet some smaller children and seemed quite wary of them but this was in the early days and given that the resident dog is also wary of children she was likely following his lead and would most likely be ok with smaller children after a careful introduction. She is not the kind of dog who would be jumpy and knock them over as she has a very gentle loving disposition. Mossi has not been properly tested with cats.
Mossi deserves to live her best life with her past in the past. She will reward her new family with love, cuddles, smiles, kisses and endless adoration.
