About O'Malley
Say hi to O’Malley!
This little boy is an absolute showstopper who attracts attention wherever he goes. He may be cute now, but later he is going to be very handsome with his beautiful merle patches. O’Malley has a wonderful personality to match his good looks. He is a loving and joyful puppy who always puts a smile on your face. There is nothing he loves more after playtime than snuggling up with his humans. O’Malley is a social boy who greets everyone he meets with a waggy tail and a willingness to take whatever pats and cuddles are on offer.
O’Malley is currently in care with another dog and has done well meeting other doggie friends as well. He is a playful pup who is always up for some fun but has shown to be quite respectful of others. O’Malley is like a little pocket rocket at the moment, and provides plenty of amusement with his puppy play. We expect he will be a moderately active boy when fully grown who will need daily exercise and mental stimulation to keep him happy and healthy throughout his life. O’Malley’s dad is a very friendly medium sized mixed breed, and we believe mum may have been a slightly larger mixed breed. We expect for O’Malley to grow to a smaller large size, possibly around 25-30kg.
While in foster care, O’Malley has been working on learning the basics. He is doing well and is food motivated so it is easy to get his attention if you have the yummy treats! His toilet training is going well with very few accidents. At night, O’Malley is sleeping through in his crate and will also nap there during the day as well. He has been learning to walk nicely on a lead, which is going very well, and he travels well in the car. O’Malley would make a great adventure buddy and would love to accompany his new people on lots of fun outings and trips. As he is still a pup, it is vital for his new owners to be committed to continuing his training and socialisation so that he can grow up to be an outstanding canine citizen.
We are looking for a dog experienced home for O’Malley where he will be a loved member of the family and included in the daily activities. He will need a home with another adult dog who is already trained up and ready to be a great role model for him. In lieu of another dog, he will need owners home more often than not and who will be able to support him through this transition and provide him with appropriate training to build independence as he is still building up tolerance to being left alone. O’Malley should be allowed inside to be with the family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night.
O’Malley is currently living with children and loves kids. He will be fine to live with dog savvy children who are confident with larger dogs and able to deal with typical puppy behaviours. O’Malley is young enough to be integrated with other types of pets with the appropriate training and guidance. He is an excellent puppy who deserves an amazing family who will give him an amazing life full of fun, cuddles and lots of love.
If you would like to make this stunning boy a part of your family, then please complete a Dog Adoption Enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website as the first step. Please include plenty of details on your previous dog experience, current household members and the type of lifestyle you can offer O’Malley.

This puppy will be adopted out under a desexing contract that will require the dog to be desexed by a given age. The cost of desexing will be included as part of the adoption fee. A $250 desexing bond will be payable in addition to the adoption fee and will be refunded upon proof of desexing. This process is further discussed with successful applicants.
Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
