About Darcie
Introducing Darcie!
Darcie is a Cavalier born 27th September 2017.
Darcie has been transferred to us from another rescue group who helps rehome retired breeding dogs.
We haven't had Darcie with us for very long, so she is still adjusting to kennel life but has so far been a really sweet & quiet girl. We don't believe she has ever been on lead before as she drops to the ground when a lead is placed on her.
While we've shown no signs of aggression from her, she has moments where she completely freezes with fear. For this reason we are recommending a home with no small children as they will be too overwhelming for her.
Darcie was quite timid when meeting large or excitable dogs. She has previously lived with other small, quiet dogs. We believe Darcie would be suitable to live with other dogs, or she can be a spoilt "only child". If you have a friendly dog at home we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home.
Due to her shy nature, Darcie is currently untested with cats & pocket pets.
Darcie has shown no signs of separation anxiety or food aggression since being at the facility.
Darcie's adoption fee is $800 and includes her desexing and lifetime registration.
Darcie is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with her vaccinations.
To enquire more or to meet Darcie, please call 0499 900 272 or email ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com and speak to one of our friendly staff.
Darcie is looking forward to meeting you and she is currently located in East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
