Star

Hello I’m sweet and smart Star! They say being really smart can be both a blessing and a curse and I think that’s true for me. I’m super intelligent which means I pick up on things really quickly. One day I was shown the doggy door and so I just started using that to go outside and go to the toilet.

Star is a beautiful medium sized dog. She is loyal, loving and a bit of a goof ball.

Star has great recall and is excellent walking on the lead, she can sometimes get distracted when off the leash if she sees a dog to play with. She is smart and very easy to train.

Star has a high energy level and needs daily exercise to keep her out of mischief around the house. But she also loves curling up with you for a cuddle when it's time to wind down.

Want to know more about how you teach a pup to be a great dog? I’d like to do training every day so that I learn the commands of sit, stay, come, down, no, stop and leave it. And once I’ve learnt them, I need to keep practicing them every day too. That way I’ll learn to obey what you tell me to do. Being consistent and clear with your boundaries will mean I always know the right way to behave. Getting out to exercise at least once a day (and twice for working dog breeds) is vital to stimulate my brain and body. It creates important opportunities for me to meet strangers, other dogs and other animals, plus it tires me out! Tell me “no” if I’m chewing something I shouldn’t and give me a chew toy instead. I’d love to have a range of chew toys that you can swap around so I don’t get bored with them.

I CAN FLY TO PERTH!
Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to you in Perth.
