About Arlo - Located in Preston
Greetings, potential adopter or fellow feline enthusiast,
Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Arlo, the charismatic and ever-curious feline extraordinaire. I've taken the liberty to pen down a few thoughts from my perspective, to provide you with a sneak peek into my world.
First and foremost, I must admit, I'm quite the socialite. Whether you're bustling about the house or lounging on the couch, you can count on me to be right there, soaking up every moment. My human companions often find me nestled on their desk, providing insightful commentary on their work (mostly through a series of delightful meows).
Speaking of conversations, I'm quite the chatterbox. Engage me in a dialogue, and you'll find me more than willing to share my thoughts, opinions, and perhaps a few whimsical tales. There's never a dull moment with me around, that's for sure.
Now, let's talk about playtime. Ah, playtime, my absolute favorite! Whether it's a game of chase around the house or a spirited session with a fishing rod-style toy, count me in. Oh, and did I mention my dear friend Apollo? He's my partner in crime, my fellow adventurer in the realm of fun. Together, we make quite the dynamic duo, keeping each other entertained for hours on end.
But don't let my playful nature fool you; I have a heart of gold. I'm as gentle as a breeze, allowing myself to be picked up and cuddled without a fuss. Children? Oh, they're delightful! With their boundless energy and infectious laughter, I find them to be the perfect companions for my escapades.
In essence, I'm a confident, relaxed fellow with a penchant for adventure and a heart full of love. And if you're considering adoption, why not consider adopting me alongside my dear friend Apollo? Together, we'll bring joy, laughter, and endless cuddles into your home.
Yours in curiosity and companionship,
Arlo

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
