About Dozer
Please meet Dozer, the sweet natured but oh so loving cheeky little 1 year and 4-month-old Mini Dachshund x
This sweet natured young boy deserves everything that life can offer – once Dozer is part his initial nervousness at meeting new people, he does everything with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye.
Dozer has come into care from a backyard breeder and the rescue has made sure to do all his vet work so that no more babies are made.
Dozer currently weighs 3.3kgs
Dozer once settled is a fun, young happy boy who loves play time and fun.
Dozer is a little of ball of muscle and his favorite things to do in the world is play with other furkids, balls, chew toys / play with them and socialize and explore the garden.
Dozer loves being a part of the family – up in your grill, on your lap and just basically anywhere the family is as fun is to be have!
Dozer is currently with other dogs in care and will need to go to a home with another playful breed dog, who is either very calm or who can match Dozer’s energy levels and wants to play.
Dozer loves loves loves kids but will need a home where he is not picked up and carried by small kids as that will make him nervous. Dozer has such a fun loving happy personality that he makes the family he currently lives with laugh at least once a day
Dozer would love to sleep with his humans on their bed at night.
Dozer is toilet trained
If you are looking for a dog that is going to be fun and energy filled, then Dozer is your boy!!!

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
