About Acacia
Meet Acacia,
Acacia is a gentle lady; she is independent and comfy in her herself & her surrounds. Acacia is friendly, curious & social. An affectionate girl with a slight lazy streak…
Acacia is suitable for first time cat owners, or those with experience. As she prefers peace & quiet, Acacia would be best suited to a household that shares similar values. She is open to meet kids, but much like her future house, quieter kids would be ideal…
As we cannot test, we are unsure how she would go living with or meeting dogs, this would be up to the discretion of her new owners.
She has met other cats while she has been with us and her condo has a view of most of the cattery – Acacia appears to be nonchalant when seeing another cat, which indicates to us that she may be open to meeting or living with another feline friend. As always, we encourage a slow & controlled introduction to existing cats in the home.
Acacias energy needs are low, and she doesn’t appear to be interested in toys, preferring the creature comforts of a cosy bed, and pats & cuddles from her human friends. She LOVES her cheeks being scratched & will roll over to show her tummy, offering her belly for more affection.
She is not fussy with her food; she is loves all food & will get a little chatty when its food time! She is also nice & neat and always uses her litter tray.
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask if that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
