About Audrey Hop-Burn
Meet Audrey Hop-Burn,
Audrey is an independent girl, who is confident & comfortable in her surrounds & very outgoing. Curious by nature, she is alert, smart & friendly.
Audrey is a bun who is suitable for first time owners or those with experience. Due to her adaptable nature, she is suitable for an array of households, and is also open to meet kids of any age!
Audrey will need a safe & secure hutch. Somewhere out of the sun with plenty of shade. A place that is comfortable & cool for the warmer months, & warm & cozy for the cooler months.
Audrey will need access to fresh clean water, as assortment of toys to chew on & play with and fresh food daily. She loves a simple cardboard box filled with newspaper – this simple enrichment toy brings her so much joy as she pulls out the paper.
Audrey is litter trained, but it’s best to show her where the litter tray is when you get home to minimise any accidents if you’d like to house train her.
Audrey is ok to be picked up, but she prefers to be on the ground – she’s a real go getter & loves to run around, hop, skip & jump & really get herself moving! She also loves to be patted on her back & in between her ears.
As we cannot test, we are unsure how Audrey would go living with dogs or cats – this would be up to the discretion of her new owners. As rabbits are social creatures, Audrey would do well living with another rabbit, just make sure that they have a slow introduction.
Can you open your heart and home to a friendly little bun like Audrey Hop-Burn?
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
