About Juana
Meet Juana,
Juana is looking for a home with a family who is patient and kind. Someone who will show her that there is no need to be afraid of humans.
She spent the first weeks of her life on the streets and didn’t have much interaction with people before coming to the facility.
Juana has gotten used to our staff, her condo & the cattery but would really blossom in a home environment. A place that is just for her!
She would really love a calm and quiet household, or at least an area of the home that is just hers, where she can safely retreat to when things get a bit too much.
Juana should be strictly indoors. Reason for this is due to her timidity. Going outside may undo all the progress she has made since coming into our care. The outside world is big & can be very scary for a small kitten.
Just like all kittens, Juana would love a cat tree to climb on and scratch, and an assortment of toys to play with. She should be fed kitten food multiple times a day to ensure that she grow up big and strong.
She is already litter trained, but it’s best to show her where the litter tray is when you get home to minimise any accidents.
If you’ve got other animals at home, that’s okay, just make sure that they have a slow introduction.
Can you open your heart and home to a shy kitty like Juana?
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask if that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
