About Rocky
Introducing Mr Rocky!
Rocky came in to The Lost Dogs' Home with his siblings and after spending some wonderful time in foster care with one of our fabulous carers, Rocky is ready to find his forever home. In his foster home he stayed with two other large breed dogs, cats and kids! His foster carer had such good things to say about him.
As Rocky is a Border Collie he is going to need a very active family. Border Collies are incredibly intelligent and need constant physical and mental stimulation to ensure they remain well balanced dogs. He would benefit from ongoing training classes like puppy school, obedience or agility classes to help release some of that full on Border Collie energy!
As Border Collies are high energy dogs we recommend a home with a back yard or a big parcel of land so that he can run around daily in conjunction with walks and other activities. Rocky and his siblings also come from working lines so if you're looking for a new mate to help you out on the farm, he's the boy for you!
Rocky will also require regular grooming, collies coats can get quite long and due to their high activity levels they can get matted if not kept brushed.
Rocky is available to meet at The Lost Dogs' Home North Melbourne so if you're thinking he might be your new best mate, come down and meet him today!
