On Hold
About Bluey - 8 Month Old Cattle Dog (Hold)
I’m Bluey. And unlike my counterpart on ABC Kids, my story starts with an 8 week long stint in the pound. And then, I was rescued by Dog Rescue Newcastle… (Cue Bluey Theme Song…)
I'm currently in care with a wonderful family and a 6.5 year old Cattle Dog.
During the day I spend my time outside lounging in the sun, playing fetch with my dog sibling and going for a big walk. At night I come inside and sit on my mat and watch TV with my foster family and then when I’m tired, I take myself to bed.
As a young pup with a not so great start to life, I will need some understanding and patience as I can be cheeky at times, but I am quick to learn for the family who are willing to take a chance on me!
I LOVE my food. My foster mum is a great cook I am not fussy at all.
I live in household where there’s someone home most of the time which I’m use to so my new family would need to be home more often than not.
I like the creature comforts like extra bedding and blankets in my kennel but am also partial so a relax in the sun on the pavers. On hot days I enjoy playing in the seashell water pool with my ball, it is so much fun!
I also enjoy playing with my dog sibling. I’d love a home with a dog friend (Bingo perhaps…?) but am also happy on my own.
As I am a working breed, I am highly intelligent, I need structure and consistency to help me be the best dog that I can be. I need a family who will love and take care of me, keep up with my training and daily exercise as I have loads of energy. Hope to meet you soon!
Love Bluey!
To register your interest in adopting Bluey you can fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
PLEASE NOTE: When applying for our dogs and puppies, please ensure to list the name of the dog you wish to adopt. Please do NOT just list the reference number or the microchip number as this will delay your application reaching the correct foster carer.
You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au or www.petrescue.com.au
Bluey is in foster care in Caves Beach, NSW area. They are currently available for interstate adoption. The adoption fee is $600.00 and they are desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.
PLEASE NOTE: Dog Rescue Newcastle provides individual listings with specific requirements for each foster dog. If you submit an application or inquiry and DO NOT receive a response within 5 business days, please understand that you have not met the specific requirements for this dog. Please do not be disheartened or discouraged, this simply means you were not a suitable match at this time.
This organisation's adoption policy is moderate. What does this mean?
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
