About Mae
Adoption Fee: $300
To apply to adopt, please complete a SAFE Cat Adoption Enquiry Form as follows:
* From the PetRescue website or Savourlife website please click on this link: https://safe.org.au/find-a-cat/animal/byc4225/
* On the SAFE website, click on 'Apply to Adopt'.
Little Miss Mae is an extremely affectionate little girl who enjoys to come up to you and rub her head against your hands for some love. Mae is quite happy to come and lie with you on the lounge, or find a cosy spot to nap on her own.
Mae can be quite cautious and timid with other cats at first but doesn't take long at all to warm up when given a gradual, controlled introduction. She warms up even quicker with humans! She would suit an adult only family, or a home with older children who understand they need to be gentle with her. She's fully litter trained. Mae gets on great with her lovely sister Eve, also available to adopt.
This gorgeous soul would be the pawfect match for anyone that appreciates a calm and relaxed lifestyle, just like Mae.
* If you have pets in your home, a reminder that meeting new dogs and cats can be scary for a kitten, so a slow and gradual introduction is a must.
* Please apply by completing the SAFE application form from our website or the link above.
MEDICAL NOTES
Adoption fee includes vet check, first F3 vaccination*, flea and worm treatment, microchip including the transfer of ownership, and sterilisation at a SAFE approved vet at 6 months of age (see list below).
*Kittens may require further vaccination(s) to complete the full vaccination course. This will be at the cost of the new owner and is not included in the adoption fee. Please enquire for more information.
ADOPTION DETAILS
To apply to adopt, please complete a SAFE Cat Adoption Enquiry Form via our website. You will be advised if your chosen kitten is still available and then put in contact with the carer for a chance to ask further questions. If a meet-and-greet is then arranged, we will email the adoption paperwork and payment instructions to you prior to this. Please note payment must be made before adoption trial starts and we are unable to take cash payment.
Our adoption process includes a two-week trial to ensure your chosen pet is the right fit for your home. After a successful trial period, SAFE Bunbury will arrange transfer of ownership on your new pet's microchip and email copies of their vet records out to you.
When adopting a kitten under 6 months old, one of the following approved vet clinics should be selected by the adopter to arrange for his/her sterilisation by the age of 6 months. The sterilisation surgery is included in the adoption fee:
Blair Street Veterinary Hospital, Bunbury
Busselton Veterinary Hospital, Busselton
Ninth Street Vet Clinic, Harvey
Halls Head Small Animal Clinic, Halls Head
Caryn Vet Hospital, Edgewater
Kingsley Veterinary Hospital, Kingsley
South Metropolitan TAFE Vet Clinic, Bentley (during semester)
Swan Veterinary Hospital, Midvale
Albany Vet Hospital, Albany
Swans Vet Service, Esperance
Please ask us for more information on arranging sterilisation of your pet if you live outside the Bunbury area.
