About Topham
Topham is a real top dog!
This boy is an overgrown lapdog. He is super sweet and is friendly with everyone he meets. Topham loves attention - both getting and giving it. He also loves to lay on the lounge with you, even though he takes up a fair bit of room, but he is very obedient and follows instructions if you want the couch to yourself. Topham is still a younger dog so is still playful and his goofy and happy personality is contagious. Seeing him splash around in some water is definitely going to make you laugh. He has such a blast at the river running and playing in the water.
Topham came to us from far western NSW and the facility he was in used him as the tester dog as he is was so friendly with other dogs that he meets. Topham has extended his sociability to Sydney and has been fantastic with all dogs he has met. He initiates play, but also has wonderful play style. He walks away from dogs who act aggressively towards him and is always happy to meet and greet new dogs. He is currently an only dog in foster care which he loves, but he could also live with another well trained, happy dog who wouldn’t mind a play with the big boy. He also LOVES his walks and going on adventures. Topham will need daily walks and would enjoy going on bush walking or hiking trips with his new family. He frequents the dog park and is happy to entertain everyone there - both the dogs and people!
This boy is a doggie dream to have around due to his impeccable behaviour and solid training. He travels well in the car, waiting for the command to get out, sleeps through the entire night on the sofa without a peep and is completely toilet trained. He walks in heel perfectly and has great basic command training. He is non-destructive and has been left home alone for a few hours here and there without issue. He has a big deep bark and while he is generally a quiet dog, he will definitely give a big bark if someone is at the front door but as soon as you welcome visitors in, he’s all waggy tail and asking for affection. Topham has such amazing training due to spending a few weeks with one of our trainers as we didn’t have a foster carer free at the time, and since moving into a foster home his foster carers have been continuing his structure and routine which have allowed Topham to continue to be a perfect family dog. His new family needs to have large dog experience and know how to set boundaries and expectations so that Topham can continue to thrive.
Topham is currently living with a family with teenage kids who he is perfect with. His foster carers report he will make a perfect family dog for anyone with dog savvy children who can be involved in his training and adventures. He absolutely loves bush walks and loves dipping his paws in water. We are looking for a large breed dog experienced home where Topham will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities and outings. He will need access inside to spend time with the family and should have a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. He will require a family who are home more often than not, particularly during the settling in period - he has had the luxury of his foster carers working from home so will need to feel safe before being left alone again. Topham is going to make such a great dog for a lucky family and provide endless amounts of love.
If you would like to make this beautiful boy a part of your family, then please complete a Dog Adoption Enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website as the first step. Please outline in your application your previous dog experience and the type of lifestyle Topham would have in your home.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
