Monty - 6 Year Old Bulldog (Trial)

As his name suggests, Monty is the mix of a British and Australian perfect gentleman;
- Handsome
- Polite
- Well mannered
- Fit
- Cuddly
- Caring
- Perfectly imperfect teeth!

If his foster family weren’t moving back to the UK next year he would without doubt be a foster fail.

Being a slightly older gent Monty enjoys a slower pace of life and is happy to lie on the sofa or in his bed all day, just getting up occasionally to have a look where you are and what you are doing. Pats and cuddles are ALWAYS welcome.

At night he goes to sleep - and shockingly for a Bulldog - doesn’t make a sound! He folds his little head between his little paws and stays there until he is woken up in the morning for a cuddle.

Don’t be fooled by his dopey demeanour though; Monty Moo is very fit and looooves his walks! Will happily trot along for miles. The only thing is given his history of chasing birds (chickens to be exact - not women. He is the is perfect gentleman after all) he may not be suitable for a home with any feathered friends and possibly smaller pets and cats.

Making friends Monty can be a little picky; we’ve found most dogs he will ignore instead of actively play with. If one gets too close he may give a little ‘back off’. This is nothing sinister and tends only to be with much bigger dogs. Before us he lived happily with 3 Frenchies so he definitely gets on well with and would suit a home with other dogs.

Monty's real best friend is food. Any food. Though if your kitchen cabinets are your pride and joy we would advise against Peanut Butter…. Watch the video to understand what we mean! 😂

Overall Monty would make a great addition to any household but other pets beyond smaller dogs would just need to be tested first. He is so gentle that he would probably be great with kids.

He’s just a lovely, lovely boy to have around. Quiet but still packed full of personality, he has a lot of love to give and his foster family will be so very sad to see him go but know an amazing Australian based home awaits him.

Monty is in foster care in Sydney, NSW. He is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped. Adoption fee is $450.
