About Xena - 3 Year Old Cavoodle (Trial)
My name is Xena and I’m a three year old apricot Cavoodle.
I am desexed, microchipped, up to date with my vaccinations and flea, tick and worm treatment.
I had not spent a lot of time around humans before coming to my current foster home and so am still a little timid around loud noises. I really love my pats and snuggles and spending as much time as close as possible to my human and the other humans in the house.
There is another dog at my current house and we get along fine and she’s been great company for me. There are also cats at my current house and I just tend to ignore them. I mostly go outside to the toilet but haven’t learnt to use a doggy door as there isn’t one at my house because the cats stay inside.
I have learnt to walk on a lead and love going for walks with my human and the other dog. I’ve been to the markets and for walks near water and am happy to let people give me a pat if they ask nicely. I have learnt to sit and try very hard to stand still while you put my harness on. I know to sit when we come back from a walk for you to take my harness off.
I haven’t spent much time before my current home just being a dog, so don’t quite understand why you throw the ball away from us but I do love to have zoomies around the yard and love to play bounce with you. I get very excited when you get home even if you’ve only been outside.
I would benefit from someone who is home a lot of the time, not sure how I would go if I was left on my own for long periods.
My perfect home would be:
- where humans are home almost all of the time, at least initially.
- where my forever family understand my needs and appreciate that I’ll take time to adjust.
- where someone as time to commit to my training and provide lots of love and attention.
- I’d be happy with the company of another friendly, playful, and non-aggressive dog and I’m okay with cats in the home as well
- a relatively calm and stress-free home that is stable and permanent
- a home where my humans are committed to maintaining my grooming
- a home where I get at least one good outing and exercise session, plus regular doggy social time - a yard to have a little run that is 100% escape-proof for a little dog who is good at slipping through gaps and scurrying over small fence
Xena is in foster care in Lake Macquarie, NSW. Xena’s adoption fee is $700 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.
