About Bee
Bee's home will need
- People home often and that look forward to taking their dogs on outings.
- Secure high fencing and people willing to add extensions if needed (we can give cheap suggestions for this) or being left inside when her people leave the house.
- Continued training around walking on lead and appropriate ways to greet people.
- To allow her the choice of being inside when her people are home so she can shower you in love, and to sleep inside of a night.
Bee is the name from her shelter days; however, she has been called Bluey in her foster home because the carer is allergic to bees and strongly disliked the name Bee.
Bluey is happy as long as she is near you, she has a lot of energy and loads of love to give. Bee enjoys going for walks, playing with toys and bounce around, but most of all she loves her people.
Bluey is loyal and devoted to her people and often gives an alert bark when people walk past or approach the house, and will stop when told, this is not aggressive in any way.
Bluey can be an escape artist when her people aren’t home, she just loves being with you so much. She is going to need secure fencing to keep her in (we can give advice on the types of fences or fence extensions that are needed), and training around not to leave the yard. Bluey would never go far when she got out but would find a neighbour to keep her company or just wait at the front door for your return.
Bluey loves water but not a fan of swimming, choosing instead to run around in the water at the beach or in the shallows of a lake. Her carers say that “she puts one foot on the water and it’s like she wants to walk on water and can't understand why she can't. It's adorable.”
Bluey loves people and is excited and bouncy but then settles. In some environments she can be a bit weary of new people and needs slow introductions, but at cafes and pub beer gardens, the other patrons sitting at other tables eating didn't faze her one bit, (FYI she's great at cafes, no barking, no impatience, just sits happily). Bluey can need slow introductions to other dogs but once she knows them, she is happy to be in their company. Bluey is unsure of children but loves the company of older teens and young adults.
Bluey LOVES the car; she happily jumps into any car and loves the window down a little so she can enjoy the sights and smells. You don’t hear a noises from her at all, just pure happiness to be out exploring and being with her people. Bluey will need training to walk on the lead without pulling, this will be important for Bluey so she can visit markets, cafes, pub gardens with you.
Bluey know to sit and will do so on her walks before crossing the roads and her carers are continuing working of her not jumping up to greet people.
Bee is mostly toilet trained but on occasions will sneak to a opened room and void there, she does best when she is taken outside regularly to toilet and given praise or treats when she goes outside.
During the day Blueys favourite place to lay or rest is a comfy spot near her people, at night if she had the choice, it would be in your room or on your bed but she snoozes something shocking, she is happy sleeping on a dog bed.
Her carers say:
"Bluey she is such a loving and affectionate dog. We love her to pieces. She looks at me with adoration and gratitude for being saved and invited into our home. I swear she can say so much with her little gaze and she just wants to cuddle me all day long."

Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis, we assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animal.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home please send us a detailed email us with some information about the people and any other animals in your home as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet.
