Ernie

Meet Ernie, a resilient one-and-a-half-year-old male Kelpie with a heart of gold. Despite facing adversity after arriving at the shelter with an injury to his left front leg, Ernie's spirit remains unbroken. Sadly, his leg had to be amputated, but this hasn't dampened his gentle nature. Ernie is a laid-back dog with occasional stubborn streaks, but with patience and understanding, he'll flourish in the right environment. He requires a calm and understanding home, ideally with experienced owners familiar with working dog breeds. Children in the household should be taught to respect Ernie's needs concerning his three legs. Providing Ernie with a designated space for downtime and alone time will help him adjust.
