About Marley
Marley the French bulldog has just turned one!
Marley LOVES to be by your side, she would suit someone who either works from home or spends a lot of time at home.
Marley gets so excited to say hello in the morning when you wake up or when you come home. Marley would best suit a home with another dog sibling. She currently lives with a 33 kg retriever cross, they are constantly wrestling and pinching each other's toys and doing zoomies. They love to sleep next to each other, sharing treats and there daily trips to the park.
Marley needs to go to a home with another dog as she loves to play madly every day.
She is very boisterous and currently has a large puppy for playing so would suit having a larger playing companion.
Marley will want to sleep next to you at night, she always has to be leaning against you, she doesn't exactly like to be cuddled but will end up sleeping by your legs and will steal your pillow as soon as you leave the room. Marley has learnt how to sit and shake. She is extremely food motivated, it would be a good training tool going forward. She is hypo-allergenic and cannot eat chicken.
Marley will need more toilet training as at night times, even though she has access, she tends to toilet in her bedding or blankets. Marley does not like her feet being touched and will need to get her nails clipped at a vet, she is getting use to her ears being cleaned and she would appreciate her face creases being cleaned daily with dog wipes.
Marley came from a loving home, with a sick mummy, who unfortunately entered palliative care and deteriorated quickly and everything happened very quickly. Essentially resulting in not a proper goodbye. This may have caused separation anxiety and Marley has only been left alone, maybe 1 - 7 hours a week and when she is "alone", she is with her dog buddy Evie. Other then that, she comes to work with me or stays home with my partner. Essentially never being alone. She is very social with other dogs but needs more training with her jumping.
Medical notes
Currently has an inflamed salivary gland. Has had vet treatment ( antibiotics)
Adoption details
Animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and on heartworm prevention / and also FIV tested for cats where possible. They are not available for adoption outside NSW (except ACT). Please email par.adoptions@gmail.com if you would like further information.
Dogs and cats are rehomed on two weeks trial to ensure that both the person adopting them and the rescuer are satisfied that the dog / cat / animal is happy and adapting well to their new home and this can be extended on request
Please be aware that Paws and Recover is run by volunteers who also work. We endeavour to answer enquires as quickly as possible. Some animals will inevitably be very popular and will generate many enquires. Where there is a high volume of enquires received, it will be our priority to contact those that best fit the requirements of the animal. This may mean that it is not possible for all enquires to be answered. Please keep an eye on the website for all updates.
Providing quality information as a part of your enquiry including information about your home environment, family, work hours, other pets and what you are looking for in a companion animal along with what you can offer one will greatly assist.
Please always provide a contact phone number as a part of your enquiry.
