About Penelope
Penelope is a extremely sweet but timid little lady who is looking for the right people who understand cat body language very well, and will take the patience to coax her out of her shell.
With little to no human interaction for her life before she came into rescue - she has made absolutely massive strides while in foster care and now absolutely loves humans! While she may still occasionally hiss when there are loud noises or sudden environmental changes, when given time, she is an absolute sucker for love!
At only 2.4kg, Penny is a very small cat, despite the fact that she absolutely adores her food! She can be very vocal and will chirp you the songs of her people while she patiently waits for her food. Food time is her favourite time and the best time to give her lots of pets and loves, and she also loves treats!
Penny loves to rub up on people and often almost seems determined to knock you over in her quest for affection, and her tail shakes like a rattlesnake when she is very happy!
Penelope has developed some friends while in foster care and we have discovered she absolutely loves her feline companions! However we have discovered that Penny does not appreciate very playful and in your face cats and will need a calm and patient cat friend ❤️ Penny will also thrive as a single cat, as long as her new family is home more often than not, as she loves attention.
Although she has not shown any signs of fear of dogs, we believe she will not be suited to a home with dogs just simply due to her timid and shy nature alone.
