About Pedro Peso
Meet Pedro Peso,
Pedro Peso is a sweet little guy who is a little shy but also a little playful! He is looking for a home with a family who is patient and kind, a family who will allow him to blossom & grow.
He grew up on the streets and didn’t have much interaction with people before coming to the facility so although he is friendly and allows handling, he still spooks easily.
Pedro Peso does have an easy-going & curious nature which makes interacting with him a positive experience for you both and allows you both to bond.
Just like all kittens, he would love a cat tree to climb on and scratch, and an assortment of toys to play with. He should be fed kitten food multiple times a day to ensure that he grow up big and strong.
Pedro Peso would benefit to live in a calm and quiet household, or at least have an area of the home that is just his; as mentioned before he can spook easily - loud noises & dramatic sudden movements seem to be a trigger for him but we think it is simply due to how small he is.
He should be strictly indoors. Going outside may undo all the progress that he has made since coming into our care. The outside world is big & can be scary for a small kitten.
Pedro Peso is already litter trained, but it’s best to show him where the litter tray is when you get home to minimise any accidents.
If you’ve got other animals at home, that’s okay, just make sure that they have a slow & controlled introduction.
Can you open your heart and home to a sweet, playful kitty like Pedro Peso?
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask if that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
