Jupiter

You know that question “Who is the goodest boy”? Well the answer to that question is…This Guy!! Jupiter is a beautiful, friendly, happy, energetic, and very playful little boy with so much love to give.
Our spunky sweet as cherry pie boy is a Labrador x possibly Kelpie with the softest shiny black coat . biggest happy smile . love of people and wonderful with other dogs Jupiter is just a 23 kilo lad so a perfect size if you are seeking a med size boy.
Jupiter likes to have a good chomp on chew toys but his most favourite thing to do is play fetch and go for walks
After a long day he loves nothing more than to cuddle up next to you on the couch.
He is an extremely smoochy boy so be prepared for lots of kisses and loving eye glances.
Jupiter is a very friendly boy. He enjoys the company of all humans, he is great with kids.
Throw a ball for him and he will be your best friend.
Jupiter will sit for treats and is still learning to shake. He is ok on lead but can be a little pulley when excited so he will require some work in this area
Jupiter is housetrained and will go outside to do his business.
He travels well in a car and likes to stick his head out the window but does sometimes let out a few little whimpers if he has been in the car for too long.

Jupiter is currently living with a female dog and they play very well together.
They can play a little rough together but in a good doggy way.
He does get a bit jealous (not aggressively) if you are petting another dog, he will just shove his head in the way for all the pats…he loves love!So if adopted to a home with another dog the resident dog will need to be ok with sharing affection from their humans
Jupiter is fine to be left at home alone but alot better with another dog If alone he will just sit and watch the door waiting for someone to come home so will definitely require some form of stimulation to keep him from getting bored.
Jupiter is ok with a bath and although not a fan he tolerates it really well and will just sit there while he is scrubbed and blow dried . His skin was very” dandruffy” when he arrived but with high quality food a few good baths and oatmeal treatments its come along fabulous

Jupiter is currently sleeping in between his doggy bed in the living room and the floor in the bedroom. He will occasionally sneak up on the bed for cuddles when one of us leaves the bed.
He sleeps through the night, with no worries. (he currently has access to a doggy door through the night)

Jupiter LUVS going on walks twice a day after breakfast and after dinner (unless it is a hot day, he is not great in the heat because of his thick black coat
We will take him down to the park every other day and play fetch for a while. He will require good daily exercise either a walk or a big yard and playing brain games to ensure he is getting enough to keep him happy

Jupiter is an active dog, but is quite calm around the house, he loves his couch cuddle time and loves to be with people. He will be your shadow, he wants to be where you are. Which is great cause we all need a protector while on the toilet!!!
Jupiter would benefit from a home that has another friendly dog to keep him company. He is great with other dogs but does prefer the company of humans.
A medium to large size yard. He loves kids but would not recommend younger than 5yrs old as he can get excited and perhaps knock them over

Most importantly his ideal home would be a home that gives a lot of love because he is a super squishy, loving boy. Jupiter is an amazing dog, he always has a smile on his face and is always happy to see you. He deserves a very loving home.

Adoption Criteria
Jupiter requires a home with a nice size yard with plenty of shade and shelter and grass to run . Fencing must be secure and indoor outdoor access
A home that can love and cherish this special boy for the rest of his life
Jupiter adores other dogs and loves a playfriend so we are truly hoping for a home with another playful fun loving well socialized so be his BFF of similar size
A daily walk with plenty of stimulation to keep his super smart brain busy and active
A home with kids is fine but they must be of school age and ok if they get accidentally knocked over with his waggy butt
