About Ben
Ben is lovely boy who is happy by nature and eager to please. I would say he’s probably younger than 2 as he is quite playful. He’s very social – loves people and seems to like other dogs as well – doesn’t seem to matter whether they are male or female. We have taken him to a couple of enclosed off lead parks – where he runs around with other dogs and has a great time! the best part of all is that you can recall him in the middle of a play session and 9 times out of 10 he will come to you! on sunday morning he was at the opposite end of the park (enclosed) and i called out to him “ben, come” and he bolted back to me!! everyone was so impressed! (so was i!!) not only would he come to me when called – but other people called him and he went to them as well! ben loves to go for a walk – he happily sits to have his harness put on and then proceeds to “paw” at the gate – he can’t get out fast enough!!! ben is a power walker – doesn’t stop to sniff a lot. He seems to like playing with big dogs! another bonus about ben is that he appears to be house trained! he hangs out with us mainly in the kitchen/lounge area which has floor boards and a small rug – not one accident. He knows how to use a doggy door now – just by watching the boys – so when he needs to go to the loo – he heads outside thru the doggy door into the garden! we keep him off the furniture so that he doesn’t take any bad habits into his new home. He sleeps in the laundry on a very comfy bed – i don’t close the door – i just put some baby fencing across the door way and he seems quite happy to stay there. The only reason i put him in the laundry to sleep is so that he is not too spoiled for his new home – just in case his new owners might not like him sleeping in their bedroom etc. He’s quiet as a mouse until you greet him the next morning! all round – he’s a pretty good dog. I also think he would like the company of another playful dog – he hasn’t made one attempt to escape – which make me think if he had a buddy, he probably wouldn’t want to run away!
