About George
URGENT: Help Needed for Townsville's Cat Crisis
Townsville is currently facing a cat crisis. It is estimated that 30 cats are euthanized every day due to a lack of space in our shelters—over 10,000 cats annually. The local animal shelter is at capacity, and local rescue groups are reluctant to take in cats older than six months due to difficulties in rehoming adult cats.
We urgently need your help. If you have space in your home and your heart, please consider adopting an older cat. By adopting, you not only save one life but also make room for another cat in need.
**We have received a lot of enquiries for the kittens from Cairns, Sunshine Coast Brisbane, and surrounding regions. For those interested, we are able to arrange for transportation at the adopter's expense. Please enquire for further information**
Meet George, a fluffy bundle of joy ready to become a cherished addition to your family. The most delightful puffball of his siblings, George's soft and tender nature reaches out to everyone he meets. Our boy is always ready to give his affection, often found cosying and nuzzling his soft fur into warm laps. His life revolves around cozying up for a good snuggle session, so be prepared for a lot of snuggle sessions!
George is one of a litter of seven gorgeous kittens. The kittens came into care with their mum, a beautiful ragdoll cross called Mimi. Mimi needed emergency, life-saving abdominal surgery just days after giving birth to her seven kittens. Mimi's owners needed some help with her post-operative care so mum and kittens have been living at the rescue whilst she recovers. George is the last of his litter looking for his forever home. George is about to celebrate his 200th day at the rescue, in our mind that's 200 days too many. He may be last but he is certainly not least, we don't like to be bias here at the rescue as we love all our kittens, but if we had a favourite, it would be George.
The kittens are young and very adaptable at this age. George has settled in well to his surroundings, making him an excellent fit for a home with children and other pets. A slow and safe introduction to new members of the household will ensure a smooth transition. Sana Animal Rescue will provide ongoing support ensuring our kittens settle seamlessly into their new families.
Imagine coming home to see George awaiting your arrival. He leaps onto your lap at the first opportunity, his purrs of contentment making your heart melt. This is the life of companionship that George provides. So, are you prepared to welcome this affectionate soul into your home? With George, you can expect a lifetime of love, comforting purrs, and unlimited cuddle sessions. Let's find George his forever home together!
