About Scooter
Hi I’m Scooter a male cattle dog/kelpie cross 7 month old puppy that is affectionate and very playful.
I’m very affectionate doggo and I love to seek out a cuddle whenever I can. My favourite is a scratch on my chest and a belly rub. I love to play but have learnt that sometime its nice to be quiet and sleep on my bed with my foster parents nearby. I have been very good at sitting, dropping and recall (especially for food but also for praise). My lead walking is improving but this is something I keep working on. At night I go into my crate and sleep till morning. I am toilet trained and haven't had any inside mistakes.
I can be shy around new people initially but once you get to know me I'll never leave your side! The big wide world was very new to me but I have been working really hard with my foster mum to be more confident walking outside.
I'm still a bit scared of cyclists and prams but am improving everyday. My favourite place is the dog park where I can run off lead and feel safe to play with the other dogs. I am polite with my new dog friends (all sizes) and haven't been playing rough at all. I mostly like to chase dogs as they chase balls but I'm starting to play fetch but I'm not ball obsessed.
I’m ready to find my forever home and will need a home with a secure back yard and a doggie friend or 2 to play with. I would love my human to be home more often than not but I am used to my foster parents being out at work.
I’ll need humans that understand my needs, take me lots of walks and continue my training. I would be best suited to a home with older children due to my more timid nature. I have wanted to chase the neighbours cats but leave the park ducks alone. I haven’t been tested with other animals.
If I sound like the dog for you please fill out the adoption form and apply for me!

You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
