About Scooter
Hi I’m Scooter, a male cattle dog x kelpie puppy that is affectionate and very playful.
I can be shy and a little bit scared of new people, dogs and places initially but once I’ve warmed up I’m a ball of fun and energy. I have the most fun playing with my foster siblings and am mostly good at not playing too ruff with smaller dogs. I’m very affectionate and I love a scratch on my chest and a snuggle.
I haven’t been very interested in toys but over time I think I’ll like them. I have been learning to sit, drop and wait at roads and am starting to walk well on the lead but will need some more practice at this. I’m starting to learn my name and am getting good at coming when called but sometimes get distracted by the world around me. I sleep peacefully in my crate over night and toilet training is coming along nicely.
I'm ready to find my forever home now and will need a home with a secure back yard and a doggie friend or 2 to keep me company. I’ll need parents that understand my needs, take me on lots of walks and continue my training. So far young children have been a bit noisy for me so I may be best suited to a home with young teenagers or older. I haven’t been tested with cats or other animals.
If I sound like the dog for you please fill out the adoption form and apply for me!
Scooter is located in VIC.
Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
