About Bessie
If you are looking for a loyal, loving companion, look no further. Bessie is a 10-year-old female Kelpie.
Having worked on a farm most of her life, Bessie is ready to have more time with the humans in her family. This senior would love to be the only dog, although if you have another calm, older female who knows how to respect personal space, Bessie would consider your offer!
As well as learning to walk calmly on lead, Bessie is gradually getting used to having access to the house. She can use the dog door, and is showing more interest in spending time inside, including sleeping quietly on a dog bed in her foster mum's room over the past few nights.
What makes Bessie happy? Spending time with her person! Going for a walk on-lead, and when safe to do so, a run off-lead! A warm, gentle bath, and going anywhere in the car!
Bessie has been fine with the resident cat, and ignores the chooks. She hasn't been tested with children. The ideal home for Bessie is either on a rural property, or somewhere with a good-sized yard as well as people who prioritise her daily mental and physical stimulation.
Bess is a ripper little dog. Are you her perfect match?
Bessie is located in VIC.
Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
