About Dylan
Introducing Dylan ( previously known as #270)
Dylan arrived on our latest emergency transport run and is now looking for a very special forever home.
It was clear from his pound photo that Dylan was a shy and sensitive soul, completely overwhelmed and shut down in the scary world he had found himself.
Coming off transport it was clear this boy may have been one of the bigger dogs there, but he was also the biggest baby.
It took us so long to get him out of that transport crate – he was literally frozen in fear.
Despite everything he remained so placid, with not a hint of reactivity.
This in many respects was even more heartbreaking - here was a dog so broken that he would let anyone do anything to him.
Almost 2 weeks later with lots of love and attention, Dylan has really started to come out of his shell and show his beautiful, gentle personality.
The pound had him recorded as a pointer mix which is possible, we do suspect he has some greyhound in him too though.
He has a lean build, a longer nose, and most importantly a gentle, calm, and placid demeanor – very greyhound-like.
Dylan walks beautifully on his lead and is so well-behaved on walks, sitting and waiting at crossings and paying no attention to anyone else business.
He is a loving and affectionate boy and we just know he will be one of the most loyal dogs ever, once someone gives him the love and time he so desperately wants and deserves.
Dylan is a smart boy who trains so quickly as he so wants to please you – he really is a special dog.
He is in care with another dog who he gets along well with but another dog is not a deal breaker for Dylan.
What he really needs is his person, someone he can lean on and be there to be leaned on.
Dylan simply needs love.
If you think you may be the perfect match for Dylan, please send us a detailed message telling us all about yourself and the wonderful life you would share.
He is about 18 months old, has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and is up to date with his feal and worm treatments.
Dylan is in foster care at Morayfield and his adoption fee is
